Asics World Series of Beach Volleyball

The Asics World Series of Beach Volleyball (WSOBV) started this week in Long Beach, CA, only a week after the Summer Olympics in Rio concluded. One of my favorite sports to watch during the Olympics was beach volleyball so I was excited to get an opportunity to see some of the top athletes who were in Rio.

In addition to a lot of sunscreen and water, I brought along my full-frame camera and a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. This is my go-to camera kit for sports photography. I knew there might be an opportunity to get close to the action near the outer courts, so I brought along my 24-70mm f/2.8 lens with me just in case I needed to capture a few wider shots. As it turned out, I never pulled the 24-70mm out of my camera bag as I felt the 70-200mm was the perfect lens for the event.

Below are some of my images from the two days I was at the WSOBV.
